Pulwama: Militants lobbed a grenade at police station Pulwama in south Kashmir district on Wednesday night. However, there was no report about injuries or casualties.
Police sources said that that at around 8:30 pm unidentified militants hurled a grenade on police station Pulwama.
“The grenade exploded with a bang but no loss of life or injuries were reported,” sources said. In retaliation, the guard on duty resorted to aerial firing, added the sources.
Meanwhile, sources said that security forces on Wednesday launched a search operation in Arwani area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district following a tip off about the presence of militants.
