The DC also stressed on the early completion of under construction X-Ray and Laboratory blocks of the hospital.

It is pertinent to mention that Budgam hospital is facing many challenges in terms of space and staff. There is no space for installing new instruments. Also, there is not even a single Gastroenterologist, Cardiologists, Urologist and Dermatologist.

However, Dr Sehrish said she would take these issues with the higher authorities.

While talking to media persons, district head said that she would give a nod to a generic drug store at hospital where patients could benefit.

When asked by this reporter that ‘fair price medical shop’ in the hospital premises is not offering mandatory discount, she replied, “You’ve raised this issue. I will definitely look into it.”
