Justice Magrey takes stock of functioning of Munsiff Court Boniyar

BARAMULLA, JUNE 26: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice and Administrative Judge for Baramulla district Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey today visited Munsiff Court Boniyar, Uri to take stock of functioning of the court.

He inspected various facilities available at the court for lawyers and public. Justice Magrey offered patient hearing to the demands and grievances of advocates and instructed the concerned to initiate efforts towards their immediate redressal.

The purpose of the visit was to ensure speedy, inexpensive and timely disposal of pending cases. Justice Magrey called for enhancing endeavors with reference to disposal of cases in line with the mandate of the law. He also stressed on the need to encourage Alternative Dispute Redressal (ADR) Mechanism outside routine procedural mechanism for putting in mediation for reconciliation.

Justice Magrey instructed all concerned to expedite disposal of pending cases with special emphasis on disposal of cases pending from last five to ten years. He called for strict compliance with recently prepared Action Plan for disposal of pending cases.

During his visit, Justice Magrey also inspected ADR and Mediation mechanisms and emphasized on the disposal of pending cases through ADR where both parties can achieve win-win situation without wasting time and money.

“People have faith in judiciary and the need of the hour is to put in coordinated efforts to strengthen this confidence,” said Justice Magrey.

Later, Justice Magrey reviewed the functioning of traffic management and regulatory system wherein he stressed for strict compliance of traffic rules and regulations. He directed the District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Jehangir Bakshi to adhere to regulations so that hassle free movement of the public is ensured. He also inspected the records ledger and reviewed the performance.
