Budgam, Jun 26: After remaining blocked for at least 50 hours, high-speed mobile Internet services were restored in Budgam district on Tuesday afternoon.
The data facility was snapped in the district following some dispute over a mosque in Magam area where authorities had imposed restrictions under Section 144 CrPC to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, normal life resumed in Magam town after remaining disturbed for two days. Shops and other business establishments also reopened in the town.
Earlier, people in Budgam demanded that Internet should be revoked in parts of the district Budgam and called the ban as “unnecessary and unjustified”.
