Jammu, Jun 23: The family of a retired soldier staged a protest here today against a BJP MLA accusing him of kidnapping their minor daughter from Punjab.

“My daughter has been kidnapped by the BJP MLA of R S Pura from Punjab and this I came to know about when I went to her college on June 21 in Punjab –where she was pursuing studies for BAMS course – to pick her up in view of summer vacations,” Rajinder Kumar, girl’s father alleged while talking to the media-persons here.

He said his daughter is a minor and added, “the MLA had reportedly took away my daughter in March and had also released a picture of his with my daughter in order to blackmail me.”

“I am a retired army man and appeal to the Governor to help us in tracing our daughter and take action against the MLA, otherwise, I will immolate myself in from of the Governor’s House,” the father said.
