Srinagar: Right after government forces started searches in Chadder village of Qaimoh area in Kulgam district on Sunday afternoon, several gunshots were heard in the area.
Earlier, a joint operation was lauched by army’s 1 RR, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Chadder village.
The searches were carried after receiving specific information about “presence of militants in the area”, reports said.
