After the inauguration, the Speaker convened a public grievance redressal camp to listen to the demands and concerns of the people living in village Parnala and its adjoining areas. Several deputations informed the Speaker of problems being faced by them which mainly pertained to the power supply, water supply, road connectivity, healthcare, education, and sanitation.

The deputations also sought water hand pumps in their areas and sought immediate repair of damaged tube wells and motors. Shortage of staff at Higher Secondary School Parnala was also highlighted during the camp.

The Speaker gave the deputations a patient hearing and assured them that all of the projected issues would be looked into.

Later, at Dewal Dr. Singh inspected ongoing construction of Transformer Repair Workshop which is being executed at a cost of Rs. 1.50 Crore.

On the occasion, Dr Singh said that SAUBHAGYA and DDUGVY schemes will play an important role in electrifying rural un-electrified hamlets and will also create quality distribution and transmission assets for the PDD sector.

Underlining several initiatives launched to provide social security and to improve the socio-economic status of the marginalized sections of the society, Dr. Singh directed all the officers to synergize their efforts in sensitizing the masses regarding construction of houses under PMAY, construction of IHHLs, widow/handicap pension and assistance provided by the government for marriage of girls falling in BPL category under SMAS.

The Speaker also inspected the ongoing work of Billawar Ring road and indoor Stadium and directed the concerned authorities to complete the work within stipulated time frame without compromising on quality.

He also inspected the ongoing work of bridge over Ujh River which leads to village Kalna.

ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, CAHO Kathua, Surjeet Kumar, BDO, Deputy CEO, Engineers and other Tehsil level officers accompanied the Speaker.
