DDC Ganderbal reviews Shri Amarnathji Yatra arrangements

GANDERBAL, JUNE 22: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla along with concerned officers convened a meeting at Base Camp Baltal to review the arrangements for ensuing Shri Amarnath ji Yatra which is scheduled to commence from June 28, 2018.

DDC was given a detailed briefing by various departments about the arrangements being made for the Yatra.

The meeting discussed issues related to medical facilities, water supply, transport, electricity, communication, the establishment of control room, availability of fire tender and availabilities of essential commodities.  Besides, arrangements for sanitation and cleanliness of areas within and outside Baltal Base Camp were also reviewed.

While reviewing the security arrangements, the DDC took appraisal from SSP through PowerPoint Presentation regarding the Security arrangements. The DDC stressed for taking utmost care for ensuring foolproof security arrangements.

The DDC also stressed upon all the officers to work in tandem to ensure smooth conduct of Shree Amarnath Ji Yatra 2018. The DDC asked officers to ensure all arrangements beforehand in a more improved and colourful manner than previous years.

DIG Central Kashmir, SSP Ganderbal, SP Traffic Rural and officers from Army, Police and Civil Administration were present on the occasion.
