Srinagar, Jun 20: One policeman was killed while as two were were wounded in a militant attack on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in Pampore area of Pulwama district on Wednesday.
An official said that militants attacked a police vehicle of IRP-17 Battalion at Galander in Pampore, leaving three cops wounded.
He said the injured cops were rushed to Sub-district hospital Pampore wherefrom one of them identified as Tanveer Ahmad was rushed to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
The injured cops were identified as Mudassar and Ayub.
The area has been cordoned off to nab the assailants, he said.
