SABLO delegation meets Governor

SRINAGAR, JUNE 15: A delegation of the Shri Amarnathji Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) led by its President,  Vijay Thakur, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan .

The delegation put forth a number of suggestions relating to the management of Yatra 2018 and raised concern about the overall safety and security of the pilgrims and service providers. Governor observed that the security aspects of Yatra 2018 were being personally reviewed by him on the basis of reports reviewed from the State Police and Intelligence Agencies.

Governor emphasized the vital importance of ensuring very close cooperation between all the stakeholders for the successful conduct of the Yatra. Governor asked President SABLO and members of his delegation to take all possible steps to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and protection of  the environment in the entire Yatra area. He also directed SABLO to ensure that every Langar organization maintains hygienic conditions in and around its premises not only during the entire Yatra period but also, particularly, at the time of winding up the Langar services. No garbage, refuse or plastic materials should be left in the Camp area or anywhere around it.

Umang  Narula, Principal Secretary to Governor and Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Muneer Khan, Additional Director General Police; Security & SDRF; Bhupinder Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Board and other concerned officers participated in the meeting.

The delegation comprised Rajan Gupta, General Secretary of SABLO; Devender Uppal; Pankaj Soni; Pawan Saboo; and Harsh Rishi.
