Srinagar: Expressing shock over the inhuman murder of veteran journalist, Syed Shujaat Bukhari, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that brutal killing of Shujaat Bukhari was an irreparable loss to Kashmir.
According to a press release issued here, JKDFP Secretary General Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari while paying tributes to the noted journalist said that his role as a professional will always be remembered adding that those who killed Shujaat Bukhari had an aim to damage the Kashmiri society on intellectual front.
The press release further added that Shujaat Bukhari’s killing had proved that unknown gunmen are enemies to Kashmir and Kashmiri cause so their activities should be condemned in one voice.
Moulana Tari said that had the brutal acts committed by the so called ‘unknown gunmen’ kept in check initially, they would not have gathered courage to kill the most prominent person of journalism in Kashmir. He prayed for the deceased soul and expressed solidarity and condolences with the bereaved family especially Shujaat Bukhari’s father.
