Dummy coffin on shoulders, SSA teachers stage unique protest in Baramulla

Barmaulla: Castigating government policies and indifferent attitude Rehbar-e-Taleem, SSA  teachers under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum on Wednesday held massive protest demonstrations at district headquarters in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara districts and locked up their schools in protest against the failure of Education Department to release their pending salaries, implementation of  7th pay commission besides delinking of salaries from center to state budget.

Following it’s already announced district wise protest program, Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum held strong protest demonstration in north Kashmir’s trio districts in which thousands of ReT teachers participated.

The strong protest rally was held at Baramulla where hundreds of ReT, SSA teachers  who assembled at CEO office held sit-in and later and took out a protest rally to DC office Baramulla. The protest rally was led by District President JKRTTF Mohmmad Yaqoob Bhat, Provisional President  Rahi Irsahd and state spokesman Mohmmad Iqbal Bhat.

The protesting ReT teachers threatened to intensify their stir and lock out schools for indefinite period if government failed to fulfil their genuine demands.

The agitating teachers said inordinate delay in release of their salary has created immense problems for them and they will celebrate Eid-ul Fitar as Black day in Sringar press enclave.

Shouting anti-government slogans, the protesting teachers were carrying a dummy coffin of dead government which has betrayed and failed to fullfil its promises and commitment.

Simlar, protests were held in Bandipora and Kupwara district headquarters by SSA and ReT teachers.
