Srinagar, Jun 11: Panic gripped at the residence of Deputy Commissioner Shopian on Monday after a toy grenade was lobbed in the premises of his residence.
A police official said that around 9:45 am some miscreants hurled a grenade like item towards the official residence of DC Shopian which failed to explode.
“The device turned out to be a dummy grenade as a bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot to defuse the device” he added.
