30-day awareness prog concludes at Shopian

SHOPIAN, JUNE 09 A valedictory function was today organised by J&K Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (JKBRSETI) Shopian for distribution of training certificates among the first batch of 34 trainees of dress designing.

The function was attended by Assistant commissioner Revenue Dr Majid Jahangir Shopian as chief guest, while as Cluster head J&K bank Shopian, Lead District Manager Shopian, Director RSETI Shopian and other concerned were also present on the occasion.

The Assistant Commissioner Revenue lauded and appreciated the initiatives of JKBRSETI Shopian for training the local youth in various skills. He said such training would go a long way in promoting and generating self-employment avenues among the youth and enable them to become job providers instead of job seekers.

He further said that RSETI would ensure that the capacity building and skill development measures among prospective small entrepreneurs/ borrowers for rural youth and enhancing the farmers’ capacity to absorb new technology and practices would be taken care of in an organized manner.

He urged upon the local youth to come forward and get themselves enrolled with RSETI Shopian. He also stressed the need to form self-help groups so that the rural women are able to generate income and improve their standard of living.

Later on Training certificates were distributed among the candidates.
