Srinagar, June 03: An unidentified body which was recovered by Srinagar police from Nallah near sector 12 Hamdania Colony Bemina on 26th of May 2018, was buried under the directions of DC in the grave yard at Bemina, yesterday.
After completion of all formalities, the body was kept in the mortuary at PCR Hospital for identification, but till date none came forward to identify and to claim the body.
As there was every apprehension that the body may get decomposed, Deputy Commissioner was requested for grant of permission for performing last rites (burial) of the deceased. Permission was granted and accordingly the body was buried in a grave yard in Bemina as per Islamic rites in presence of witnesses.
