Shakti Raj reviews progress on ongoing key developmental projects in Doda

DODA, JUNE 03: Minister of State for Education, Tourism, Rural Development, Tribal Affairs, Information, R&B, YSS, Revenue and Culture, Shakti Raj Parihar today inspected the key developmental projects under execution in the district and asked the authorities to expedite the pace of work for their completion in a fixed time frame.

The Minster was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal, SSP Doda Mohd Shabir, ADDC Mohd Hanief Malik, GM JKPCC M L Thapa, other district officer besides engineers working on the sites were also present there.

Shakti Parihar visited the construction site of Government Medical College Ghat, a village 5 km from Doda and reviewed the pace of work. During the visit, he directed executing agency JKPCC to speed up the work and ensure its completion in time bound manner.

GM JKPCC informed the Minster that the work of laying base and column is going on with all the men and machinery in place and expected to achieve the target within the given deadline.

The Minster further visited the construction site of Shiva Dal Bridge and inspected the pace of work on 146.50 mtr Steel Girder Bridge over the river Chenab to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 15.87 crore by JKPCC.

It was informed to the Minister that the Bridge along with its side Railing and Deck Slab has been completed and only approach slab is pending as of now. Once completed, the bridge will provide an alternate connectivity to the inaccessible rural areas of tehsil Mohalla and Gundna, officials told the Minister.

Later, Shakti Parihar also inspected the ongoing works on the new bridge at Naseeb Nagar area, Prem Nagar which is expected to be completed soon.
