Srinagar, June 02: Handwara police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Qalamabad headed by SHO Qalamabad laid a naka in their jurisdiction. During naka checking, two suspected persons identified as Mohammad Asif War alias Adil, son of Ghulam Ahmad War and Mudasir Ahmad Malik son of Mohammad Ramzan Malik, both residents of Audora were intercepted. On their checking, 140 grams of charas was recovered from their possession, police said in a statement issued here.
A case FIR number 39/2018 under section 8/15, 20, 29 NDPS was registered and investigation was taken up.
