An official said the injured were rushed to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment.

The injured Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were identified as Ravinder Singh of Uttarakhand, Mohammad Siraj, Veer Singh of Uttar Pradesh and Vinod Kumar.

The injured policeman was identified as Abdul Majeed of Larkipora, Anantnag and the injured civilian as Abdul Rashid of Tral.

Immediately after the incident, the whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers, said the official.

In another incident, militants lobbed a grenade towards the residence of Tral MLA Mushtaq Shah in Pulwama. It exploded in the lawns of the house. No one was injured, a police official said, adding the legislator was not in the house at the time of the incident.

Shah is a legislator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which has a coalition government with the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.

Here also the area was cordoned off and a manhunt launched to nab the attackers.

The militants also reportedly fired upon a vehicle of 183 Bn of CRPF at Eidgah crossing in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district today. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

Quoting SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudhary, local GNS news agency reported that gunshot like sound was heard near CRPF vehicle. “We are verifying the incident,” he was quoted as having said.

The area was cordoned off soon after the incident.

Meanwhile, Militants on Friday evening lobbed a grenade at a CRPF bunker in Srinagar, reports said.

Sources said that militants lobbed  rifle grenade at a bunker of 49 BN of CRPF at Hari Singh High Street.

The grenade, sources said, missed the intended target and exploded near Bund causing no injuries.

Meanwhile, some news agencies quoted a Jaish-e-Mohammad spokesman claiming the attack in a statement.

One more grenade was lobbed by militants at a camp of 180 BN CRPF at Nowdal Tral late Friday evening.

No loss of life or casualties were reported.
