Vigilance arrests Sr. Assistant in BMO Budgam

Budgam, May 31: The Vigilance Organization Kashmir has arrested a Senior Assistant working in the office of Block Medical Officer Budgam for allegedly withdrawing money meant for the salaries of employees.

The anti-graft organization conducted searches at the Chanapora residence of the accused, Feroz Ahmad Hakak, and recovered documents pertaining to his bank account, including  passbooks, ATM cards etc, said an official.

A case (FIR No. 22/2018) was registered in this regard at Police Station Vigilance Organistion Kashmir.

An investigation officer privy to the developments told ‘Kashmir Images’ that the accused has been arrested. He said Vigilance sleuths will probe every angle of the alleged salary scam.

It is pertinent to mention that  ‘Kashmir Images’ had carried a report titled “Salary of BMO Budgam employees vanishes in thin air” on March 13 following which an investigation was started in this regard.
