Kavinder pays surprise visit to RTO Kashmir, calls for streamlining functioning

JAMMU, MAY 31: Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today paid surprise visit to the office of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir at Bemina here and took stock of its functioning.

The Deputy Chief Minister inspected various sections of the organization including Computer Lab and witnessed the process of on-line issuance of Licenses, Registration of vehicles and other allied activities being carried out there. He also interacted with the visitors and enquired about the functioning and facilities available there. He also sought their views to further improve the system.

He issued on-the-spot instructions to the RTO, Khursheed Ahmad Shah to take immediate measures for further streamlining the functioning of this vital organization and try to reduce the duration for issuance of licenses and registrations of vehicles. He also directed for making best use of digital technology to ensure complete transparency in the system and expeditious disposal of issues.

The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the concerned to put in place all basic facilities like drinking water, toilets and appropriate sitting arrangements for the visitors. He called upon the employees to work with utmost zeal and dedication and come up to the expectations of the general masses, which is the ultimate objective of the Government.
