JKLF offers jinazah in absentia of party leader

Srinagar: Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid tributes to deceased leader Ghulam Muhammad Butt who breathed his last in Rawalpindi Pakistan yesterday.

A JKLF spokesman said that funeral prayers in absentia were held for the deceased leader in Srinagar in which advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhmmad Zaman Mir and Javaid Ahmad Zargar and people in large numbers participated.

Deceased who was originally from Rajouri Kadal Srinagar had migrated to Azad Kashmir in 1950. He was closely associated with the Muhammad Maqbool Butt and founder of JKLF late Aman Ullah Khan and one of the key figures who played his active role in the formation of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).

In 2007, he visited Srinagar also and participated in Safer-I-Azadi, the spokesman said.
