Dir Agri reviews progress on CM’s commitments

SRINAGAR, MAY 29: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today made an extensive visit to District Kupwara to review the progress on implementation of commitments made by Chief Minister.

Director Agriculture visited Honey Cluster Village Gulgam, Agriculture Engineering Workshop Gushi and many other important Agriculture establishments in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture said that the honey produced here is one of the best in the world and it has a great potential in terms of employment generation and socio-economic development of the farmers living in these villages.

Director Agriculture said that a honey processing plant and other infrastructure needed to promote this sector would be established in the area soon.

During the visit the Director also inaugurated Ist Agriculture equipment showroom at Kupwara. The showroom is set to share its extensive expertise with farmers by suggesting the right type agriculture implements.

Director Agriculture was accompanied by Joint Director Agriculture Inputs Deepak Kumar Kachroo, Joint Director Agriculture Engineering Javed Iqbal Lone, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara Mohammad Muzaffar Hurra and other senior district officers.
