Pulwama killing: Internet snapped, train service suspended

Srinagar, May 28 : Internet services in Pulwama were suspended following the killing of a civilian in Kakapora late Sunday night while rally authorities have decided to suspended train service from Srinagar to Banihal.

Official sources told GNS that the cellular companies snapped internet late Sunday night after police have sent a communication to the cellular companies wherein it has directed them to reduce mobile internet (2G/4G/3G) in southern Pulwama district with immediate effect.

“In view of law and order problem in south Kashmir, especially in Pulwama district today, as a precautionary measure the Banihal to Srinagar rail service and vice versa will remain suspended today (Monday). However rail service from Srinagar to Baramulla and vice versa will ply as per schedule,” a railway official told GNS.
