Nanda holds public grievance redressal camps

UDHAMPUR, MAY 27: In order to reach out to the people of far flung areas and listen to their grievances, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Finance, Planning, Law & Justice, Ajay Nanda today visited Galiote and Badhote in Tehsil Panchari of district Udhampur.

During the   whirlwind tour, Nanda held a series of Public meetings to get a detailed account of various problems faced by people.

People apprised the Minister about dilapidated condition of Panchari to Galiote road, paucity of drinking water, lack of staff in government schools and demanded uninterrupted power alongwith adequate ration supply to the area.

While speaking on the occasion Nanda said that the government is committed to provide better road connectivity, adequate drinking water and power supply, strengthening and up lifting of educational standards and infrastructure in rural areas.

Highlighting the various government schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), Nanda said that various schemes are meant for the welfare of intended beneficiaries.

Stating that the objective of holding such camps is to get a direct insight into the problems being faced by the people of rural pockets for their early redressal, the Minister assured the people that their problems would be resolved at the earliest.
