Calls for speeding up work, timely completion of developmental projects

MLA BARAMULLA

BARAMULLA, MAY 21: Member Legislative Assembly Baramulla, Javed Hassan Baig, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of various developmental projects underway in the constituency.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, Joint Director Planning besides other district and sectoral officers.

Thorough discussions were held about augmentation of water supply scheme for Baramulla town, decongestion of the old town, space for car parking, the inclusion of jetty bridge into CRF, de-notification of land for Baramulla Government Degree College for Boys and providing of basic amenities to Veeriwan Colony.

Inclusion of Baramulla-Babareshi road into State sector and opening of J&K Bank branch at BandiPayeen were also discussed during the meeting.

The MLA impressed upon the concerned departments and agencies to pace up ongoing works and ensure all projects are completed within their stipulated timeframes.

Baig also directed the concerned authorities to ensure availability of all essential commodities and services in the constituency during the holy month of Ramadan.
