PWWA to launch Clean Tawi – Clean Jammu #Hero4Tawi from May 21

JAMMU, MAY 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) will launch an intensive awareness initiative for Clean Tawi – Clean Jammu #Hero4Tawi from May 21st to May 23rd.

In a statement issued here today, a police spokesman said that the main highlights of the campaign are Walk for Tawi, Cultural Programmes, Nukkad Nataks, Slogan, painting competition, lectures on waste management, quiz, on spot prizes at different places across Jammu city, Tawi cleanup, cleanliness drive at different places, distribution of langer/community meals, bike rally flag off etc.

Sat Sharma, Minister for Housing and Urban Development Department, J&K will be the chief guest on the inaugural session at Parade Ground, Jammu, Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East and B.B. Vyas, Chief Secretary, J&K will be the guests of honour. Director General of Police, Dr. S.P. Vaid will be the presiding guest.

The Programmes will be held at Bikram Chowk, Swaran Chowk, Railway Station, Baghri Mandi, Wave Mall, Nowabad, Indira Chowk, Maheshpura Chowk, Balbinder Chowk, Rehari Chungi and Radio Station Chowk, Panjtirthi simultaneously. These programmes will be held in morning and evening by the Students/NSS Volunteers, Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Information Department, Regional Outreach Centre, Jammu Police Orchestra Team, 92.7 Big FM and Cultural Team of J&K Police.

About 3000 students from 48 government and private schools are taking part in this programme which will be conducted on 10 different places at a same time in the morning as well as in the evening.

The concluding function will be held at Police Auditorium at 5.30 pm wherein those who have contributed for the success of the campaign #Hero4Tawi will be felicitated.
