Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police chief Thursday urged families of local militants to persuade their kiths and kins to shun militancy by taking advantage of the ‘Ramadhan ceasefire’.
Director General of Police Shesh Paul Vaid, wrote in a tweet: “Taking advantage of fresh initiative of GOI during Ramadan, families of local militants should urge their sons to leave path of violence & join them to live peacefully. Wish them good luck, ”
Pertinently, Union Home Ministry on Wednesday declared the unilateral ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadhan in Jammu and Kashmir.
