Puducherry Speaker visits JK Assembly

SRINAGAR, MAY 15: Speaker Puducherry Legislative Assembly, V Vaithilingam, who is on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir called on Deputy Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi here today.

Vaithilingam and Gurezi exchanged their views and experience of legislative business and procedure in their respective States. They also had discussion on the socio-economic, culture and developmental scenario of the two states.

Vaithilingam, who is on a maiden visit to Kashmir Valley appreciated the hospitality of the people of Kashmir and said that the Valley is a “Paradise on Earth” in real sense. He also lauded the efforts of successive governments for working hard towards maintaining peace, communal harmony and mutual brotherhood in the state.

The Deputy Speaker stressed on the Puducherry Speaker to be an ambassador of State’s hospitality and convey a positive message from Kashmir so that more people from Puducherry and all parts of the country as well as abroad visit here without any fear.

Speaker Puducherry Assembly along with Deputy Speaker, Secretary Assembly and other senior officers took a tour of Assembly Complex and visited its various sections. He also interacted with the staff of assembly.

The duo also exchanged mementoes on the occasion.
