Srinagar, May 14: An elderly man was mauled to death by a bear in Bazipora village of Ajas in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
A police official said that shepherd Ghulam Ahmad Bhat (55), son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Bazipora Ajas was attacked by a bear today morning when he was grazing cattle in the forest area.
He was severely injured in the attack and rushed to a hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed.
