Srinagar, May 13: A police party of police station Soura raided a gambling place near Law Collage Nowshera and apprehended three gamblers namely.
The arrested were identified as Shabir Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Vichernaag Nowshera, Hilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Muhi-u-din resident of Vichernaag Nowshera, Ajaz Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Afrooz Khan resident of Zari Mohalla Lal Bazar Srinagar.
Playing cards and Stake money of Rs.4240 was recovered from the gambling site, a police spokesman said in a statement issued here.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 64/2018 under section 13 of Gambling Act and all the accused persons were arrested. Playing cards and stake money was also seized.
