Srinagar, May 10: MLA Gulmarg Mohammad Abbass Wani Thursday dedicated Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Mulgam Kunzar to the people of the area.
Inaugurating the facility which has been upgraded from a dispensary, the new PHC with 20 beds and seven doctors, he said will remain functional 24×7 to take care of the people’s medical needs.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Gulmarg denounced the recent incident wherein a tourist from Tamil Nadu died after being hit by a stone near Narbal when a tourist vehicle was attacked by stone-pelters.
Highlighting the economic benefits tourism accrues to Gulmarg and its catchment all the way from Beerwah to Baramulla, MLA appealed the people to make sure that the visiting tourists, “who are our guests and a source of livelihood for a huge chunk of population, do not face any harassment.”
“Kashmir is known as ‘Earth’s paradise’ – and it is our collective responsibility to respect and sustain this image,” he said.
