SRINAGAR, MAY 9: Krishan Ballabh Agarwal, Financial Commissioner, Housing and Urban Development Department, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan today.

Agarwal briefed Governor about the various ongoing infrastructural development schemes in and around Katra town and about the earlier decision to build a modern Bus Stand and to set up a modern Solid Waste Management Plant at Katra, among various other projects.

Governor observed that if Government wanted to establish a fully planned Katra town, with all required facilities for the pilgrims, it was of utmost importance that all the agencies working in Katra and its surrounding areas must function under a unified command to secure time bound results for improving the civic facilities in the town and upgrading facilities required for the pilgrims.

Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was present in the meeting.
