Srinagar April. In view of unabated civilian killings in Shopian and elsewhere in the valley, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today cancelled the Secretariat Gherao Programme scheduled to be held tomorrow on the opening day of Secretariat in Srinagar.
Expressing profound grief and sorrow over the civilian killings, the President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) G.A. Mir strongly condemned civilian Killings in Shopian and described it as highly unfortunate and painful, saying that the unabated civilian killings will remain the cause behind deteriorating situation, besides vitiating atmosphere in valley.
He described the current situation as fall out of wrong policies adopted by both State and Centre Govt, saying that Centre lacks any Kashmir Policy, which is responsible for extremely volatile situation in the valley.
