BUDGAM, MAY 5: Minister for Revenue, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today visited Char-i-Shareef constituency in Budgam and took stock of various developmental works, including Rs. 13.85 crore Hanjura-Branwar road project.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Harun Malik, Superintendent Engineer R&B, SE Hydraulics, SE PMGSY, SDM Chadoora, ACR Budgam and other senior officers of various departments.

During his visit, Minister also inspected ongoing work of 13 kilometer long Nigoo-Jabbar road project. The project is being constructed by CRF and NABARD at an estimated cost of 14 crore and Rs. 3 crore respectively.

The Minister directed Deputy Commissioner to take up the issue of construction of two kilometer Branwar-Yousmarg road project with the Forest department to start work on it at the earliest.

He also directed R&B department to take up the up gradation and macadamization of Nowhar-Buzgo-Lashkaran road project at the earliest.

Taking stock of the road projects, Minister directed concerned to ensure the proper boulder filling of protection walls constructed alongside the road.

Besides, the Minister directed the concerned to release 50 percent compensation to the landlords losing their houses to the Hanjura-Branwar road up gradation project on priority.

He also stressed on the timely laying of water pipes and quick repairing of these to ensure no water supply is affected to the locals.

He directed concerned agencies to expedite and work in coordination to complete the work in stipulated time.

During the visit, the Minister gave a patient hearing to the grievances of several deputations who met him at Hanjura, Dad Ompora, Surasyar, Nowhar, Branwar, Nigoo and Jabad and promised them that all their genuine demand would be addressed at the earliest.

The Minister instructed the authorities to make the estimation of various developmental works as demanded by the public.
