BARAMULLA, MAY 05: A function organized by Human Aid Society, a non-governmental organization, to honour people who have excelled in various fields of life was held here today wherein lawmakers Javeed Hassan Beig and Yawar Dilawar Mir attended as the prominent guests.

District Development Commissioner Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, Director School education G N Itoo, officers from several departments, civil society members, students and a large gathering of people were present at the event.

On the occasion, various persons who had excelled in diverse fields were felicitated. They include government officers, officials, civil society members, students who achieved academic excellence and other prominent sections of the society.

MLA Beig, during his address, highlighted the overall contribution of the NGO towards social welfare and said that there is a need to strengthen such societies for benefit of needy.

Yawar termed the activities of the NGO as the real service to the mankind and called for support to such organizations for the overall welfare of the people.

On the occasion, the DDC hailed the organization for conducting such a programme and assured of every possible assistance from the administration to the NGO for carrying out its welfare activities.
