Ambika Soni on two day Visit of J&K

Jammu, May 05, 2018: Ambika Soni, AICC General Secretary incharge J&K affairs, arrived here today on two days visit of Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of present organizational affairs. Accompanied by PCC President G.A. Mir and other senior leaders arrived at PCC HQ where she was received by senior party functionaries.

A spokesman of the party said that soon after her arrival she held detailed interaction with senior functionaries of PCC, Members of AICC and PCC from Jammu province to take stock of the organizational issue. She held detailed deliberations about present atmosphere of state and activities of organizations. Later she also held separate meeting with Block Presidents.

Earlier, she was briefed by PCC President about situation in the state besides the membership including constitution of blocks, districts and PCC, DCC delegates. She was also apprised about the ongoing process of constitution of the districts units, said the spokesman.

Ambika Soni described party workers as backbone of the organization and delegates and block presidents as pillars of the party. She asked them to work hard to strengthen the Congress party under the young leadership of Rahul Gandhi. She said youth have to play a major role in strengthening the organization and that’s why Rahul Gandhi choose to induct more and more youths in the organization. She asked party carders to strengthen the party and expose the failures of Centre and State Government.

She said that large scale resentment prevails in state and country and Congress party is the only secular alternative which is acceptable in all three regions of State.

She will proceed to Srinagar tomorrow to take stock of organizational affairs of Kashmir Division, the spokesperson said.
