Enliven strikers beat Mahayan XI by 17 runs

After losing first 2 matches in the ongoing Prince Memorial Cup, Enliven Strikers finally on Thursday achieved their first victory in the tournament by beating Mahayan XI.

In the first meeting of Prince Memorial Cup today, Enliven strikers posted 145 runs on board in the allotted 22 overs.  Enliven lost 2 wickets in the 5th over of the match at a very low score of 22 runs; Enliven strikers struggled to score runs until Sahi came to the crease. Sahil Shamashed scored 52 runs of 35 balls. Mehraj also scored quick 21 runs for his team. For Mahayan XI, Imran took 3 wickets.

In reply, Mahayan XI lost their opener, Naveed on Zero following which Ishfaq and Irfan made a partnership of 32 runs for third wicket. Mahayan lost wickets in a quick succession which made them to lose the match by 17 runs.  With 29 runs, Parvaiz was the highest scorer for Mahayan. Hassan grabbed 3 wickets for Enliven strikers.

Sahil was awarded man of the match for his half century.
