Forces launch search operation in Sopore for the third time

Sopore: Government forces late Thursday evening launched a massive search operation in Model Town area of Sopore town in North Kashmir, a police official said.

A police official told ‘Kashmir Images’, after witnessing suspicious movement in Model Town area of Sopore a joint search operation was launched by 22RR, Special Operation Group of Special Police and CRPF.

The official further added that all roads leading to the area were sealed off and searches have been started in the orchards of the area as there is a possibility of militants hiding in the area.

It is pertinent to mention here that this is the third anti-militancy search operation since Tuesday evening. Earlier, forces on Tuesday laid a siege at Chankhan area of Sopore town. Another search operation was launched in NoorBagh Sopore on Wednesday. However, forces were unsuccessful to trace any militants in these areas.
