Auction market for dry cocoons held

JAMMU MAY 02: An auction for dry cocoons was held here today which was inaugurated by the Additional Director, Sericulture Development Department here today.

Nearly, five parties participated in the market, of which, three were from West Bengal. Besides, 106 lots of cocoons were auctioned in the market and a total of 1070-000 kg of dry cocoon worth Rs.10.87 lakh was transacted in the market on an average of Rs, 1016-00 per kg of dry cocoons. The highest bid of Rs.1226-00 was offered for cocoon lot of Ramesh Lal S/o Chuchu of village Chakkarh Jammu.
