Noble foundation doing great service in nation building: DGP

Jammu: Noble foundation, Maa Shardha Vidyapeeth organized its annual function at, Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ferozpur Road Ludhiana by felicitating women.

The function was inaugurated by Director General of Police J&K, Dr. S.P.Vaid, Chief Patron of Punjab Kesari Group, Vijay Chopra, Chief Commissioner Income Tax Punjab and Jammu Kashmir, Vinay Kumar by lightening the lamp in presence of other dignitaries.

Chairperson Jammu Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association  ( PWWA) Bharti Vaid was among 16 women of six different states who were honoured for their exemplary work in different fields.

Speaking on the occasion DGP Dr. Vaid said that noble foundation Ludhiana was doing a great service in nation building by educating more than 4000 slum children in 26 schools across Punjab.

The best part of this function was that women of different states were felicitated for their excellence in their respective fields, Dr Vaid added.

Expressing his pleasure DGP in his message on twitter said, it was a pleasure and honour being felicitated by chief patron Padamshree VK Chopra on the occasion.
