Srinagar: Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was supposed deliver a sermon on Shab-e-Baraat at Jamia Masjid, was placed under house arrest on Tuesday.

Reports said that the Mirwaiz was placed under detention at his Nigeen residence.
