Srinagar, Apr 22: The Strategic 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway remained closed for the third consecutive day on Sunday, due to heavy snowfall at Zojilla pass.

Sources said that a large number of vehicles, including those carrying passengers, are stranded on both sides of the Zojila pass, which witnessed snowfall during the past 24 hours.

The highway was closed for traffic on Friday following the heavy snowfall and slippery road condition at Zojila Pass, Zero Point, Menimarg, Drass, Matayan,  and no vehicle is being allowed to ply from both sides of the highway keeping in view the safety and security of the commuters.
