Legislators Dr K L Bhagat, Rajeev Sharma, Jeevan Lal, prominent political activists, senior leaders and prominent citizens of Akhnoor were also present.

Highlighting the achievements registered in different sectors, the Deputy Chief Minister said these are monumental and speak a lot about the  endeavor of both central and state government to usher an era of developmental activities in the state, which were otherwise not been taken on a war footing basis. He said that the requisite funds are also being made available to the executing agencies so that they do not face any inconvenience and the works are completed within the stipulated timeframe, which would otherwise take ages to complete in the previous regimes.

Cautioning the people not to be influenced by the propaganda of the opposition parties, the Deputy Chief Minister said that they are getting frustrated by the achievements of the government and the popularity of the prime minister among the every section of the country and are now resorting to spreading lies and canards.

He said the programmes and schemes being implemented have been responsible for changing the socio-economic profile of the people, which is not being digested by certain parties as a result of which they are spreading falsehood, motivated propaganda but the masses are smart enough to understand this and would give them a befitting reply.
