SRINAGAR, APRIL 19: Member Legislative Assembly from Eidgah Constituency, Mubarak Gul today inaugurated ‘Child Screening Camp’ held under centrally-sponsored scheme Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Palpora here.

The camp was organized by Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Srinagar under the aegis of National Health Mission (NHM) to provide free screening and treatment facilities to the children up to the age of 18 years for defects at birth, deficiency-related diseases, developmental delays and disabilities.

The MLA, on the occasion, stressed on parents to take benefits of the scheme and get their children screened right from their birth so that they undergo proper mental and physical development.

He directed the CMO, Srinagar to also organize the screening camp at Pamposh Colony, Sweepers Colony and other areas of the constituency so that the people from these areas too can avail benefits of the RBSK.

Gul also announced Rs 20 lakh to the under-construction Maternity Hospital Noor Bagh. He said with the completion of the health centre, better facilities can be provided to people of the constituency. He also promised to donate a dental chair and one more ambulance to the hospital.

The CMO Srinagar in collaboration with NHM had put up five RBSK clinics at the venue for screening purposes.
