Inspire Model Exhibition held in Shopian

Shopian: A district level inspire MANAK science model Exhibition was held in DIET Shopian where students from diffrent schools of the district participated and demonstrated the innovations and science models.

A team of experts was present to evaluate the science models including Dr Sheikh Javid from Kashmir University,Manzoor Ahmad Wani  SIE Kashmir,Parvaiz Sajad Lecturer DIET Shopian,Dr. Rais Ahmad Dar lecturer DIET shopian and Mir Parvez from NIF India Dr.Javid sensitised students about the innovations and technology. Parvez from NIF briefly sensitised students and audience about the innovations and IGNITE competition.

38 models were presented by students of various schools of the district Shopian. Out of 38 ideas best 4 ideas/innovations were selected for state level competition Dawood Ahmad Wagay secured first position Bazil Shafi 2nd position, Insha zakir 3rd Position and Fozia Hassan 4th position respectively.

On the occasion ADC Shopian Parvez Sajad, DIET Principal Shopian Shri Amir Chand,Chief Education Officer Shopian, M.Yasir ul Haq of DIET Shopian and other dignitaries were also present. ADC Shopian appreciated the efforts of organisers of the event to harness the creativity of the children. Whileas DIET Principal Shopian stressed that the inspire scheme should be implemented at grassroots level by teachers and headmasters of concern schools
