Mobile internet restored in Srinagar

Srinagar: Fearing law and order situation amid the reports of stone pelting, authorities on Tuesday suspended the mobile internet service in Jammu region.

Sources said that the decision was taken to prevent spreading of rumours and hate messages.

Sources said that the government and telecom operators were asked to suspend the services.

Pertinently, reports of stone-pelting were received from the Vijaypur area.

Earlier, former minister and BJP MLA Choudhary Lal Singh began a march to demand CBI probe into the Kthau rape and murder case.

Notably, Lal Singh along with Chander Prakash Ganga were forced to resign last week for rallying in support of the accused in horrific rape-and-murder of Kathua girl.
