Budgam: On the call of joint separatist leadership, people here in the township protested against recent civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
After Friday prayers, people came out of Imam Bargah and held protests demonstrations, eyewitnesses said.
While addressing the gathering, Aga Syed Akeel, a Shia cleric said, “Freedom is our right and we should fight for it.”
Akeel added that every place in Kashmir has witnessed tyranny and everyone should raise voice.
Meanwhile, president Anjuman Sharie Shia and senior Hurriyat leader, Aga Syed Hassan could not participate in protests, as he was put under house arrest.
