CM must come clean on involvement of two BJP Minister’s behind Kathua agitation: Mir
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: Stating that the Chief Minister should clarify her stand on the involvement of two senior ministers instigating trouble in Kathua with regard to brutal murder and rape of eight year old nomad girl Asifa, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, G A Mir today expressed surprise over the silence maintained by Mehbooba Mufi on this serious issue, saying that both the Ministers should have been sacked on the day one.

In a Statement issued today, Mir criticized the CM’s silence over involvement of two senior ministers responsible for adding communal colour to shameful act of murder to serve their vested interests.

“Anybody seeking protection for culprits is highly condemnable and inhuman”, he said

Mir stated that CM being the head of coalition has full authority to sack the ministers  to maintain peaceful atmosphere in Jammu, besides ensuring justice to the victim. “But, I am  both surprised and shocked over the dual policies of Mehbooba Mufti, who on the one hand is assuring action against the culprits, but on the other hand, has maintained silence over the involvement of her two cabinet colleagues”, Mir said.
