Sopore : Students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST) staged strong protest demonstration against civilian killings in South Kashmir at North campus Wadoora  Sopore in north kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Witness said large number of students staged  protest inside Campus and raised Pro freedom and anti India slogans and demanding stern action against the killers.

“We are protesting today because against the innocent civilian killings as our innocent brothers were killed in Kulgam and Shopian and present government government should take necessary step to stop these killings,”said a protesting students.

Four civilians, Sarjeel Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Fazil Illahi and Aijaz Ahmad were killed by government forces in Khudwani area f Kulgam during clashes which erupted amid a gunfight between militants and forces on Wednesday. At least 60 persons also sustained injuries in force’s actions.

Protests rock a Kashmir valley yesterday against the civilian killings in Kulgam, forcing the authorities to close down schools and colleges today.
