Annual Action Plan for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao finalised in Kupwara

KUPWARA, APRIL 11: District Development Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting regarding finalization of Beti Bachoa Beti Padoa Annual Action Plan.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, CPO Kupwara, CMO Kupwara, Social Welfare Officer Kupwara, CDPOs and other concerned.

On the occasion DDC directed the concerned to constitute committees at block level to conduct surveys regarding non-functional toilets meant for females in the district. He also directed the concerned to conduct monthly meetings of district task force for implementation of BBBP Programme and conduct workshops of PC & PNDT Act at every block head and display helpline numbers at various bus stands to aware the general public regarding empowerment and role of women in the society.

He also directed the concerned that Nutrition Day should be celebrated on weekly basis and ensure quiz competition, birthday celebrations of girls at village level in schools and aganwari centres and display hoardings at bus stands, towns and villages for creating awareness regarding significance of girls in the society.
